why is the maximum absorbance used when possbile when taking Beer’s law measurements?

I have a question about Beer’s Law for determining concentrations from absorbances. Why is the maximum asorbance used when taking Beer’s Law measurements?

At maximum absorbance, the standard calibration is linear. Finding the lambda max or maximum absorbance gives you good results especially if you are determining the unknown concentration.
